Bulldog Football Scheduling a June Kick Off

The North Bay Bulldogs are excited to announce the progress of its 2021 non-contact summer football programs. Bantam and JV registrations are ahead of last year’s fall season’s pace with limited spots left.

The Bulldogs NFC edition will be coming together to work on the passing game and will be involved in NFC competitions vs other NFC teams where permitted by regional guidelines. In addition, the Bulldogs organization will be operating a local full spectrum of non-contact football divisions Sunday game action across the City.

This year the Bulldogs are operating 6 divisions with
TYKE (09, 10, 11),
BANTAM (07 & 08)
Jr. VARSITY (05 & 06)
Sr. Varsity (02, 03 & 04),
Open Adult and
brand new for this year an OPEN WOMEN’s Touch Football League

“We recognize there is an important need for our kids and adults alike to get out into the fresh air and get exercise. Our volunteers are shaking the cobwebs off the footballs and preparing for football in June!” said Bulldogs President Marc Mathon

The actions all starts 2nd week of June and spots are limited so it will be important to get registered before the spots fill up. In 2020, the Bulldogs operated a very successful non-contact football league in the Fall filling up 5 divisions in a very short 3 weeks. The 2020 Fall season comprised of 126 games in 6 weeks so executing a heavy schedule is nothing new for this club.

“We are excited to offer for the first time ever in North Bay an open Women’s touch division. We have room for 4 or 5 teams and 6 players. Women in football is expanding all over the world, including tackle and we really want to offer than here in North Bay.” Explained Mathon.

The action will start with training camp-style practices for the kids on June 8 while games for everyone will be starting June 12th and running through until August.

Registrations for the NFC team are being accepted for NFC non-contact action at the same time and NFC players will automatically eligible to play in the Sunday adult league as well.

“We do need people to help out, so if you are looking for something exciting to contribute to, there is no shortage of fun working with the Bulldogs family”, says Mathon.

Players and volunteers looking to join the Bulldogs are encouraged to please visit our website www.NorthBayBulldogs.com, visit North Bay Bulldogs on Facebook or call us at 705 498-5929

Players are encouraged to register now to reserve their jersey number.

Gym Sessions Delayed

As you are all aware we find ourselves in somewhat uncharted waters pertaining to an ongoing pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus. As things stand now, all school boards have closed their schools for the rest of this month. As such gym sessions must be canceled as there is no gym availability until April 11th.

At this time we plan to reconvene in the gym on April 11th at Chippewa High School.

However it is important that things can change quickly in situations like this one, so please monitor for further updates as things change, hopefully for the better.

We take the health and safety of all Bulldogs family members very seriously and as a result, we have prepared some important information for you to please read and share with players and family members.
