2021 BYTFL

Welcome to all the new players and welcome back to the returnees!

We will be doing an equipment handout this week on Wednesday and Thursday, September 8 and 9 in the evening from 6-7:30 at Krown Rustproofing at 514 Gormanville Road.  We ask that all players and parents wear a mask while in close contact with others.  All equipment is supplied except for cleats and mouthguards.  If you have old cleats that no longer fit we accept used cleats, if you have outgrown your cleats and could use some gently used ones we can check what we have available.  There are lots of cleats and mouth guards available at Source for Sports to purchase as well.  Soccer cleats are also good for football.  I suggest having a couple of mouthguards on hand as if they lose theirs or forget theirs they can not play.

The camp is on Saturday, September 11th  Bantams will be at 5:30-7:30 at Rollie Fischer field.  We ask them to wear full gear including a mouthguard. After the camp, the coaches split up the teams and you will be contacted about which team your player will be on and what nights they will be practicing.  You should hear from your coach no later than September 15th, the first games are September 25th.

Kids are back to school Tuesday, tell them to tell their friends about football and get them to sign up too!  We try to accommodate friend requests as best we can.  Register at www.northbaybulldogs.com.

Player fees can be paid by email transfer to me at this email christa@d-linsurance.com or at the Bulldog’s Store https://northbaybulldogs.com/shop/ or at source for sports on Fisher Street.  The fees are $275.  If you are having problems with player fees, you can apply for kid sport or jumpstart.  We also run a BINGO every second Thursday and you can work off your player fees by working bingos, if interested let me know.

Games will be on Saturdays at Rollie Fischer Bantams are at 12 and 1.  Tykes play before this so there is a chance games could start a bit later.  They play 2 one hour games back to back each Saturday.

Volunteers, we are always looking for volunteers.  Game days we always are looking for refs, stick crew, trainers to tend to bumps and bruises.  If you are interested in coaching also let me know.  If you are interested in working Bingos we always need help there too!

Youth League FAQ

  • Should you wear a cup? No, a cup will hurt more than with no cup.
  • Most people will wear underwear or tight shorts under their pants.  Pants can be washed but should be hung to dry.
  • Players should always come to practice in full equipment and bring a water.
  • Always remember to keep your mouth guard in your mouth while on the field.  If you forget your mouth guard you can not play.
  • Do we still practice in the rain?  Yes, we do, rain can be fun and we only stop for lightning.
  • Once on a team, the players will all get their game jerseys which will be worn for practices as well.  Until they receive the jersey, they can put a t-shirt, or jersey over the pads for this week.
  • Payment can be made by email transfer to this email address or at the Source for Sports on Fischer street by cash, cheque, debit or credit

You can go to our online store https://northbaybulldogs.com/shop/ to purchase a variety of clothing, including our bulldog’s football equipment bags. Orders can take up to two weeks to come in.  Orders are placed every Friday.

We have a Facebook page that people will share photos, information etc…  North Bay Bulldogs Youth Tackle Football, join today!

For those that did not get equipment, we will have some with us at the field, but you can still participate without it.  There may be a couple of things you can but most will be ok.

2016 Youth League Rolling

The North Bay Bulldogs are humbled by the turn out we had to our Youth Football Combine/Camp. It’s always a pleasure to see our young raw athletes come out and have fun learning and executing their very first tackle, block and catch,.

So what happens next? We have one more group practice coming up so keep tabs on our event calendar. After this Tuesday’s group practice the coaches will assemble on the weekend to draft their teams to ensure even and fair distribution of players and talent.  It is with a heavy heart we retire the CFL team structure but in it’s place we are expanding our Bulldog brand (including new jerseys, logos, teams and divisions) – remember we are all BULLDOGS in the end.

Once the teams are created we will then let the coaches rudder their teams and be the central point of contact.

GO BULLDOGS!!!
