Similarly, the Bantam Black K-9s fell behind 8 – 0 in the first half and Golden’s aggressive defense bottled up everything the Black K-9s tried to do outside or down field. In the second half, the K-9’s made adjustments and scored on a screen play taking advantage of the aggressiveness to tie the game. Late in the 2nd half, again on the strength of a well-executed screen again they scored again. Defense held and K-9s held on…barely for a 14 – 8 win.

The Bantam Graiders finishing 4th played the first place Arctic Wolves very tough. They took them to a 16 – 16 tie and in overtime both scored a TD but a kicked convert attempt hit the cross bar went straight up and then hit the cross bar again and bounced back out. What an exciting but heart breaking overtime. Super Great effort by all in this narrow 24 – 22 win for the Arctic Wolves.
